7 Ways the Chamber Can Help Your
Business in the New Year
Every month, the Glendale Chamber of Commerce hosts our After Hours Mixer at various member businesses across the city. These events are the premier way to meet new people and share the details of your business in a fun, social environment. Face-to-face networking remains the most effective way to maintain your business relationships and build your professional network. Through your membership in the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, you can connect with the rest of Glendale’s business community and help your business grow. If you believe that your business is a candidate to host one of our After Hours Mixers, please contact our office for additional details. Hosting a mixer brings chamber members directly to your business, increases your visibility through the chamber e-blasts and digital newsletter, and your business will be promoted through the Glendale Chamber social media accounts.
Are you looking to connect with a certain type of business? Are you searching to contract a vendor but don’t know where to start? The chamber can help you develop new leads and provide referrals for services you need with businesses you can trust. Tap into our vast network of chamber members and move your business forward with the help of the Glendale Chamber.
While you run your business, the chamber is fighting on your behalf to ensure that the city and county remain business friendly. Through our Advocacy & Government Relations Committee, the Glendale Chamber recommends positions to the Chamber’s Executive Committee for consideration by the Board of Directors. Policy positions on business-related legislative and regulatory issues affecting chamber membership are established and released to the public.
Bring your products to new potential customers by participating in the Glendale Chamber’s Tabletop Expo & Mixer, an annual event held each fall. Hundreds of attendees and approximately fifty exhibitors gather to share the details of their respective businesses, build their professional networks, and learn more about the business community that exists within Glendale. Participation in the Expo is inexpensive and is the single most effective way to share the details of your business with other members of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. More information will be available in the months approaching the event.
Through the marketing efforts provided by the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, we aim to offer effective and high value advertising solutions to our members to help put the spotlight on the diverse array of member businesses. Our marketing services, which are heavily discounted for chamber members, are a direct line for other members of the Glendale business community. The chamber offers events sponsorships, digital advertising, banner advertising, quarterly direct mailing, and advertising space in Glendale: The Guide to help you reach your target demographic. Join the Glendale Chamber’s efforts as we encourage local shopping and always remember to consider chamber businesses first.
6. Glendale: The Guide
Advertise in this annual publication to make your business synonymous with the City of Glendale and reach out to new residents and businesses in the city. Available in print and online, Glendale: The Guide is the perfect publication to feature your business because of its ability to reach new residents and visitors to the city. A listing in the guide’s directory is also included in your Chamber membership and serves as a valuable reference that can be retained and utilized all year round. Glendale: The Guide is distributed around the city, including newsstands, hotels, and a vast array of local businesses. Advertising opportunities will be made available early in 2017.
7. Leadership Glendale & GYP
In addition to the diverse collection of benefits associated with a membership in the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, we also offer specialized programs that can further help connect you to the business community. Leadership Glendale is an annual program that is designed to provide participants with the skills necessary to become leaders within their community. Each year’s class will learn about the structure and dynamics of Glendale through interaction with civic, business, and organizational leaders while building a network of colleagues and contacts in the city. The Glendale Young Professionals is another program of the chamber that seeks to connect its members to the business community through monthly networking events.
