Commitee MeetingsThe activity of Chamber committees is based on a variety of factors, including current and emerging issues, immediate and/or long-term need, availability of participating members, and Chamber leadership priorities. Some committees are active year-round, while other groups are active as needed. The following are committees that are or have been active in recent years.

Business Advocacy & Legislative Review

This committee provides a forum for and study of business issues and concerns among the Chamber membership, City and County. The committee recommends positions when needed to the Chamber’s Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Reviews and submits policy positions on business-related legislative and regulatory issues affecting the Chamber membership and/or of general concern in the community.

Business Safety & Security

Informs and educates Chamber members and guests on services provided by the Glendale Police and Fire departments and other public agencies related to the safety and security of businesses in Glendale. Also provides input to law enforcement and fire services on business emergency plans.

Glendale Chamber Workshop Series

Plans and supports business related workshops and seminars, including business technology, leadership skills, human resources, marketing, etc., to provide needed information for member businesses.

Special Events

Assists staff in planning and implementing annual events: Awards and State of the City Luncheon, Economic Outlook Breakfast, Annual Gala, and more.
