The activity of Chamber committees is based on a variety of factors, including current and emerging issues, immediate and/or long-term need, availability of participating members, and Chamber leadership priorities. Some committees are active year-round, while other groups are active as needed. The following are committees that are or have been active in recent years.
City & County Action
Provides a forum for and study of issues and concerns among the Chamber membership, City and County, and recommends positions when needed to the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Legislative Review
Reviews and submits policy positions on business-related legislative and regulatory issues affecting the Chamber membership and/or of general concern in the community.
Patriotism
Promotes patriotism and patriotic activities within the Chamber and Glendale community. In partnership with the city, plans and implements Glendale’s annual Memorial Day observance.
Business Safety & Security
Informs and educates Chamber members and guests on services provided by the Glendale Police and Fire departments and other public agencies related to the safety and security of businesses in Glendale. Also provides input to law enforcement and fire services on business emergency plans.
Glendale Chamber Business Academy
Plans and supports business related workshops and seminars, including business technology, leadership skills, human resources, marketing, etc., to provide needed information for member businesses.
Ambassadors
Serves as goodwill representatives for the Chamber assisting with many Chamber functions and events.
Network AM
Assists in planning and implementation of monthly networking meetings and to develop other means of networking for Chamber member businesses.
